Professional, cost effective website design

I am a freelance website designer based in Essex.

I work with individuals, sole-traders and small businesses to help them create a bespoke web-presence which meets their needs perfectly.

For my business to succeed, my client's businesses need to succeed. I try to get to know my clients and their businesses well as I feel that this is the best way to enable me to create a website for them which represents them well online.

The personal service I am able to offer as a freelance designer is not easily obtained from a larger design company. This is highlighted by some of my recent customer feedback which you can read in the Portfolio area.

For small businesses, it's simply not cost-effective to employ a permanent 'in-house' website designer to design and maintain your company's website. Many small businesses do not need a huge website with ecommerce capabilites and database connectivity. If your business requires a professional online presence but doesn't need all the expensive features you would normally find on the website of a large corporation then I can help you.

Let's be clear from the start, a small business' website can still be professional. I use all the same professional website authoring software as the 'big boys', but am simply geared towards smaller businesses. I am primarily a designer rather than developer. This means I specialise far more in the look and feel of the site rather than what you might call the 'back-end' development of ecommerce functions and website databases.

All of my sites can have a Content Management System (CMS) incorporated into them so that once it's complete, the client can make their own updates to the website's content without having to pay anyone to do it for them. The freedom to update the site as and when clients want to, along with the cost savings made by not having to pay anyone to make the changes for them, means that the small extra costs involved in adding the CMS to a website are quickly recouped.

If a client prefers me to manage their website maintenance for them instead of using the CMS, then I am happy to do so.
